A daily plan rents you a dedicated Mac from our range for 24 hours, charged when you deploy. By default, the Mac stops when those 24 hours end: the instance and all its data are deleted, and nothing more is charged. To keep it longer, turn on Auto-renew every 24 hours, when you deploy or at any time from the instance page, and turn it off whenever you want. Daily is a billing period, not a separate plan: you get the same Macs as on monthly and annual plans.
It is made for short needs: a one-off build, a test run, a demo, or trying the service before you commit to a monthly plan.
Every Mac in the range. Daily is available on every Mac mini (M4, M6 and M4 Pro) and on the Mac Pro M2 Ultra while it is in stock. As on monthly and annual plans, availability depends on stock. See the daily prices.
24-hour periods. The first day is charged when you deploy, and your bank confirms that first payment with 3D Secure. By default, the Mac stops and is deleted when those 24 hours end, and nothing more is charged. In your dashboard, a daily Mac shows a Daily badge, and its instance page shows the time left in the current 24-hour period.
Optional auto-renew. To keep your Mac, turn on Auto-renew every 24 hours when you deploy or later from the instance page. The plan then renews and charges your card every 24 hours, with no limit on the number of days, until you turn it off. See Auto-renew is off by default.
24 hours minimum. Apple’s macOS license requires every Mac lease to last at least 24 consecutive hours, whatever the provider. That is why there is no hourly plan.
One daily Mac per account. You can run one daily Mac at a time. Choose monthly or yearly for another Mac.
No trial, no proration. Every 24-hour period is charged in full, in advance.
No add-ons. The External Backup Drive and the 5 Gbps network upgrade are available on monthly and annual plans only. You can order them once your switch to monthly or annual has taken effect.
One reminder email, with auto-renew on. If auto-renew is on, on the day monthly becomes cheaper for your Mac (day 7 on most Macs, see the table below), we send you a single email: if you keep your Mac, monthly is now the better deal, and the email links straight to the switch. It is the only reminder we send. It is not sent if auto-renew is off or if a switch is already scheduled.
No invoice emails. We don’t send an email for each payment, on any plan. The Your Mac is ready email shows the amount charged and a link to the invoice; after that, every invoice is in Billing in your dashboard, with a PDF. See Invoices & cancellation.
Stopping. With auto-renew off, there is nothing to do: the Mac stops at the end of the current 24-hour period. With auto-renew on, turn it off or delete the instance from its page: either way, the Mac stays available until the end of the current 24-hour period, then all its data is permanently erased. The current day is not refunded.
A daily Mac runs for the 24 hours you paid for, then it stops and is deleted with all its data. Nothing more is charged. If you want to keep it longer, turn on Auto-renew every 24 hours: your card is then charged every 24 hours until you turn it off.

Choose when you deploy. In the order summary of a daily plan, the Auto-renew every 24 hours toggle is off. Leave it off to stop after one day, or turn it on to keep your Mac until you stop it. The confirmation box above Deploy follows your choice: with auto-renew off, you confirm that your Mac and all its data are deleted when the 24 hours end; with auto-renew on, you agree to be charged every 24 hours until you turn auto-renew off, and that a failed renewal deletes your Mac and its data immediately. Monthly and annual plans have no such toggle.
Change it on your instance page. The toggle stays in the Billing card of your daily instance, and you can change it at any time. Next to it, a countdown tells you what happens at the end of the current 24-hour period (“Renews in 14 h” or “Stops and is deleted in 14 h”), and when you last changed the setting (for example “changed 2 hours ago”).
Turning it off: the Mac stays available until the end of the current 24-hour period, then it is deleted. Nothing more is charged, and the current day is not refunded.
Turning it on: your Mac keeps running, and the next charge happens at the end of the current 24-hour period.
Deleting the instance: on a daily plan, deleting the instance has the same effect as turning auto-renew off, with the same countdown.
Switch scheduled: while a switch to monthly or annual is scheduled, the toggle is hidden and the card shows “Switches to monthly at the end of the day” (or yearly). If you cancel the switch, your previous auto-renew choice comes back.
Every choice is timestamped. We record your choice when you deploy and every change after that, with the date and time, the wording you saw, your IP address and your browser. These records cannot be edited, and they serve as proof if a charge or a deletion is ever disputed.
All prices are in USD, excluding tax. “Monthly is cheaper from” is the day on which your daily charges, with auto-renew on, add up to more than one month of the monthly plan: for example, 7 days of the Mac mini M4 with 256 GB cost $98, against $85 for a month. Annual plans cost 12 months for the price of 11. Full specs are on the pricing page.
Every card you add is verified with 3D Secure, with a 1 USD hold that is released immediately.
Your first daily payment is also confirmed by your bank, with 3D Secure, when you deploy. Your Mac is deployed only once your bank has confirmed it; if you abandon the confirmation or your bank declines the payment, no Mac is deployed.
With auto-renew on, renewals are then charged automatically, without any action from you. If your bank declines a renewal or asks for authentication, the renewal fails and the instance is deleted immediately.
Daily charges are not refundable. The only exception is a service credit under our SLA if your Mac is unavailable, based on the amount of the 24-hour period billed. See the legal page.
In your dashboard at app.myremotemac.com, start a new instance and select Daily in the billing period toggle (Daily, Monthly, Yearly).
Choose your Mac. Prices are shown per day, in USD excluding tax. Add-ons are not offered on daily plans.
In the order summary, the first 24 hours are charged when you deploy. Leave Auto-renew every 24 hours off to stop after one day, or turn it on to keep the Mac until you turn auto-renew off.
Tick the three boxes above Deploy: the macOS license and our terms of service, including use for development; the renewal box, whose wording follows your auto-renew choice; and your request for the service to start immediately.
Click Deploy, then confirm the payment with your bank (3D Secure).
Your Mac is deployed and you receive the Your Mac is ready email, with the amount charged and a link to the invoice.
24 hours, then the Mac stops, unless you turn on auto-renew every 24 hours. Best for a build, a test run, a demo or trying the service. No grace period on a failed auto-renewal. No add-ons.
Monthly
Renewed every month. Cheaper than a daily Mac kept with auto-renew from day 7 on most Macs (day 9 or 10 on the largest). On a failed renewal, a grace period of 24 hours, or 7 days for established accounts (see Plans & payment). Add-ons available.
Annual
12 months for the price of 11. Same grace period as monthly. Add-ons available. Cannot be switched back to monthly.
Open your instance page and click Switch to monthly or annual in the Billing card.
Choose monthly or annual. The price is locked: it is the monthly or annual price that applied when you deployed this Mac. Nothing is charged before the end of the current 24-hour period.
The switch is scheduled for the end of the current 24-hour period, on the same Mac, so there is nothing to migrate. It applies even if auto-renew is off: scheduling a switch means your Mac continues. The Billing card shows Upgrade scheduled, the auto-renew toggle is replaced by “Switches to monthly at the end of the day” (or yearly), and we confirm the switch by email.
Until then, you can cancel the switch from the same card, and your previous auto-renew choice comes back. Once the switch has taken effect, you cannot go back to daily.
When the switch takes effect, the first monthly or annual payment is charged. It is the first payment of your new plan: if it fails, the daily rule applies and the instance is deleted.
This only applies when auto-renew is on, and to the first monthly or annual payment after a switch. With auto-renew off, no renewal is charged: the Mac stops and is deleted at hour 24, as you chose.
When
What happens
Hour 0
Your Mac is deployed and the first day is charged. Auto-renew is on, turned on when you deployed or later from the instance page.
Hour 24
The renewal is charged automatically. If your bank declines it, whatever the reason, there is no retry and no grace period.
Right after
Access stops at once and the instance is deleted. The declined renewal is cancelled: you owe nothing for it.
As soon as Apple’s license allows
The Mac and all its data are erased (Apple requires at least 24 consecutive hours from the moment the Mac was handed over to you). You then receive a single email confirming the deletion and stating that it follows a failed payment.
Later
You can deploy a new instance with a valid card. Erased data cannot be recovered.
The same rule applies to every later renewal, and to the first monthly or annual payment after a switch. You don’t receive a payment failure email, and there is no payment to fix.
FAQ
Does a daily plan renew automatically?
Only if you choose it. Auto-renew is off by default: your Mac runs for the 24 hours you paid for, then it stops and is deleted with all its data, and nothing more is charged. To keep it, turn on Auto-renew every 24 hours when you deploy or at any time on the instance page, where a countdown shows when it renews or stops. You can turn it off whenever you want: it takes effect at the end of the current 24-hour period. Each choice is recorded with its date and time. See Auto-renew is off by default.
Can I rent a Mac by the hour?
No. Apple's macOS license requires every Mac lease to last at least 24 consecutive hours, and this applies to every provider. A daily plan is the shortest rental available.
Which cards are accepted on daily plans?
Any card that passes 3D Secure verification. Every card you add is verified with 3D Secure, with a 1 USD hold that is released immediately. Your first daily payment is also confirmed by your bank when you deploy.
What if my bank declines a renewal or asks me to authenticate it?
This only concerns daily Macs with auto-renew on. Renewals are charged automatically, without any action from you. If your bank declines one or requires authentication, the renewal fails and the instance is deleted immediately, with no retry. If you need a grace period, switch to monthly or annual.
Is there a free trial or a refund?
There is no free trial, and daily charges are not refunded, even if you delete the Mac or turn auto-renew off before the end of the day. The only exception is a service credit under our SLA if your Mac is unavailable, based on the amount of the 24-hour period billed. The daily plan is the lowest-cost way to try the service.
Can I run more than one daily Mac?
No. You can run one daily Mac at a time. Choose monthly or yearly for another Mac.
Will I receive an email for each daily payment?
No. We don't send invoice emails on any plan. The Your Mac is ready email shows the amount charged and a link to the invoice, and every invoice is then in Billing in your dashboard. Beyond that, you only receive a single reminder on the day monthly becomes cheaper (only if auto-renew is on), and emails about a scheduled switch or a deletion.
Can I switch from daily to monthly or annual without losing my data?
Yes. The switch keeps the same Mac and applies at the end of the current 24-hour period, even if auto-renew is off, at the monthly or annual price that applied when you deployed it. Nothing is charged before then. You cannot switch back to daily afterwards.
Do daily renewals count toward the 7-day grace period?
No. Daily plans have no grace period, and daily renewals do not make your account established. Neither does the first payment after a switch from daily: if it fails, the instance is deleted as on a daily plan.
Can I add the backup drive or the 5 Gbps upgrade to a daily Mac?
No. Add-ons are available on monthly and annual plans only. Switch your Mac to monthly or annual, and order them once the switch has taken effect.
